Each photograph makes you feel like you are touching a star.

By the very nature of celebrity we think we "know" these people. Mr. Mitchell has captured these public people by penetrating through the veneer to take us into their respective souls. His photographs are pure works of art that one never gets tired of viewing.

If Only I Were...

Average review score:

A young tree finally grows into his own identity.
A young tree feels useless as he watches the farmer and his wife harvest so many wonderful fruits and vegetables. He longs to be worth something but feels insignificant. In fact, he is so busy envying others their contributions to the life of the farm that he does not realize his own gift until the end of the story. With cheerful illustrations and a sensitively told story, Mary Tartaglia succeeds in communicating an important lesson for children and grown ups alike: sometimes we can be the last ones to recognize our own strengths.

Illustrated Amc Buyer's Guide (Motorbooks International Illustrated Buyer's Guide)
Published in Paperback by Motorbooks International (June, 1994)
Author: Larry G. Mitchell
Average review score:

A Comprehensive and Historically Accurate Resource
Mitchell's account of AMC cars and history is the best I've seen. It has the most current rendition and explanation of the AMC story of all the books on the subject. One of the books highlights is the amount of truely wonderful pictures of very rare cars that are not just cutouts of the AMC dealer brochures. These cars exist today and that means alot to any enthusiast. It is surely a must have for any AMC buff and is reccomended reading for any car enthusiast.

In America's Shadow
Published in Hardcover by Thomas George Books (04 June, 2002)
Authors: Kimberly Komatsu, Kaliegh Komatsu, Kaleigh Komatsu, Kevin Starr, and Mitchell T. Maki
Average review score:

A timely book in light of today's political turmoil
Collaboratively compiled by Kimberly and Kaleigh Komatsu, In America's Shadow is a very personalized retelling of the injustice the United States of America perpetrated upon more than 120,000 members of the Japanese-American population during the World War II era, when they were compelled by the American government to live in relocation camps. Powerful black-and-white photographs and the wistful captions tell the story of a young girl and her family's experiences. A timely book in light of today's political turmoil, and very highly recommended for readers of all ages, In America's Shadow is vivid and unforgettable photography book highlighting one of the relatively lesser known aspects of World War II.

In and Out: A Don Packham and Frank Mitchell Mystery (Five Star First Edition Mystery Series)
Published in Hardcover by Thorndike Pr (Largeprint) (December, 2001)
Author: Mat Coward
Average review score:

Characters make this story simply wonderful
Mat Coward knows his cultural and has that rare talent of being able to reveal it to the reader better than anyone writing police prcedurals in England today. He knows the area beyond London -- the pubs, the darts players, the relationships between people who are and are not related. And his two colorful protagonists, the experienced DI, Don Packham and his junior Frank Mitchell, newly promoted (from the first in the series, Up and Down) to detective constable, are pretty much opposites. Packham loves drink, cigars and turning off the workday early. Mitchell, still learning how to interview sources and suspects, is concerned with the work ethic and with his marriage and new baby. But it's the characters the two cops must deal with that makes this procedural absolutely riviting. You'll be guessing all the way through, because this writer is also a master of slipping in red herrings. By the end you will have all you need, as do the two investigators, and you may well finally guess right. I didn't, but I was paying so much attention to what Brits are like today that I forgot to focus on whodunnit. This is one of the three best novels I've read during the past half year.

In the Midst of Lions
Published in Unknown Binding by ()
Author: Sara Mitchell
Average review score:

Sara Mitchell is incredible!
This was a wonderful book! You will feel for Elizabeth and Simon as they find their way through a sinister plot. Elizabeth is a child of God and Simon wants nothing to do with her or her God. Will he believe before it's too late? I read the first book in this series, "Trial of the Innocent", and told myself that Ms. Mitchell surely wouldn't be able to do better that that! I was wrong!
